Production Stage Manager: Tyler Danhaus Bianchi Production Assistant: Rachel A. Zwerver Directed by Jacob Basri, The Woman in Black brought Susan Hill’s celebrated ghost story to the stage in an intimate, atmospheric production built around storytelling, suspense, and theatrical illusion. The production featured David Bonanno as Arthur Kipps, Lucas Dixon as Young Kipps, and Grace Guichard as The Woman, with a creative team including Scenic Designer Marcelo Martínez García, Costume Designer Aidan Griffith, Sound Designer Evdoxia Ragkou, Lighting Designer Yichen Zhou, Dialect Coach Julie Foh, and Casting Director Michael Cassara. The production's haunting atmosphere was created through the close collaboration of its cast and creative team. With a deliberately intimate theatrical environment, the actors' performances were supported by evocative scenic and lighting design, detailed period costumes, an immersive soundscape, and carefully crafted dialect work. Together, these elements transformed Walker Farm into the fog-covered English countryside and allowed the supernatural world of the play to emerge through suggestion, tension, and theatrical imagination. Working under AEA Production Stage Manager Tyler Danhaus Bianchi, Rachel A. Zwerver served as Production Assistant while fulfilling the responsibilities of an Assistant Stage Manager. Her work included running the deck during performances, creating and maintaining deck paperwork, assisting with rehearsals, tracking production paperwork and updates, supporting communication between departments, and assisting the Production Stage Manager with the day-to-day needs of the production. This role provided hands-on experience supporting a professional theatrical production from rehearsal through performance, working closely with the cast, director, designers, stage management team, and production departments. The position required strong organization, attention to detail, knowledge of union contracts and rules, adaptability, and clear communication while helping maintain the consistency and smooth operation of a technically and artistically intricate production.
